Nadal march goes on in Toronto

Second seed Rafael Nadal continued his impressive run by reaching the semi-finals of the Rogers Cup in Toronto.

Nadal, who followed up his fourth French Open crown with a memorable win over Roger Federer in the final of Wimbledon earlier this month, lost the opening set against Richard Gasquet of France but recovered well to clinch a 6-7 (12/14) 6-2 6-1 win.

He will face Andy Murray in the last four after he overcame third seed Novak Djokovic 6-3 7-6 (7/3).

Germany's Nicolas Kiefer will take on Frenchman Gilles Simon in the other semi-final.

Kiefer defeated seventh seed James Blake 6-1 6-2, while Simon inflicted a 3-6 6-2 6-3 defeat on Croatia's Marin Cilic.
