Morris twins get Kangaroos call
Brett and Josh Morris will become the first twins to play for Australia since the Walters brothers when they take the field for the Kangaroos in the Gillette Four Nations against France on Saturday.
Kangaroos coach Tim Sheens has indicated that he is planning to make several changes for the game in Paris in order to rest players for the November 14 final and give others a first outing of the series.
Among the changes will be the introduction of uncapped Canterbury Bulldogs centre Josh, 23, alongside brother Brett, the St George Illawarra winger who has scored two tries on his two appearances so far.
"I can't wait to get out there and play alongside Brett," said Josh in a break during training in Leeds.
The only other twins to play for the Kangaroos were Kevin and Kerrod Walters 17 years ago.
Melbourne Storm scrum-half Cooper Cronk is also poised to get a start against the French, along with uncapped Penrith centre Michael Jennings.
"I don't want to rest anyone particularly but by the same token we have some bumps and bruises so there will be some changes," said Sheens.
"The structure of the side will be the same but we will have a couple of new faces. I want some choices to make it hard for me to pick a side for the final."
Australia, who will fly out to Paris on Thursday, need to beat France to secure their place in the Elland Road final against New Zealand or England, who meet at Huddersfield on Saturday.
