Bunny ducks Haydock mission
Beach Bunny will not make the trip across the Irish Sea to contest Saturday's bet365 Lancashire Oaks at Haydock as Kevin Prendergast is giving her some time to get over her run in the Pretty Polly.
The High Chaparral filly finished second in Group Three company in the middle of June before taking a creditable fourth when upped in class in Saturday's Group One at the Curragh.
Although the promising three-year-old will stay away from Haydock this weekend, she could be seen in action again in the near future.
"She won't run in the Lancashire Oaks as it's just too quick after her run at the Curragh," said Prendergast. "We'll wait a little while and probably travel her after that, but she ran a good race on Saturday to finish fourth.
"She stayed on very nicely and I think that was a very good renewal of the Pretty Polly. Sir Michael Stoute's mare Promising Lead is very good and Dermot Weld's filly (Mad About You) has been Classic-placed."
The Lancashire Oaks is still likely to feature some smart individuals, with the likes of Folk Opera, Arthur's Girl and Turbo Linn among the entries.
