Ellington set for recall

Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd may turn to record signing Nathan Ellington for the vital clash at Blackpool.

Boothroyd has witnessed his side capitulate at the top of the Championship to throw away an eight-point lead and now need a win at Bloomfield Road to ensure a place in the play-offs.

The Hornets have scored just five goals in the last 10 games and after Tamas Priskin and Darius Henderson failed to muster a single effort between them in the dire 1-0 defeat to Scunthorpe last weekend, Boothroyd may bring in Ellington.

Goalkeeper Richard Lee also had a poor afternoon against the Iron so Mart Poom could be in line for a recall.

Scottish midfielder Gareth Williams continued his comeback in the reserves this week and could come into contention for any play-offs after a year out with a knee injury.
