Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd insists that "form goes out of the window in the play-offs" after the Hornets stumbled into the top six.

Boothroyd's side have won just once in the last 14 games to nearly throw away their promotion chances but made it by one goal to face Hull in the semi-finals.

He said: "Form goes out of the window in the play-offs.

"It's about big-game players and being big, strong and organised and keeping our nerve.

"That's what we've got to do and we've got as good a chance as any of other three sides."
