Boothroyd issues rallying call

Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd has admitted his side have "more lives than a cat" ahead of the visit to Blackpool on Sunday.

Despite a run of just one win in 13 games the Hornets can seal a place in the Championship play-offs with victory at Bloomfield Road and Boothroyd believes promotion can still be attained.

He said: "We've got more lives than a cat. The problem with that is that eventually they run out and you have to take responsibility for your own life and your own future.

"I will say that if we can get ourselves back up on the horse, get into the play-offs, win the semis and win the final then it will be the best ever achievement from this situation.

"But you're not going to do that by falling over and you're not going to do that by looking to anyone else. As individuals we've got to stand up."
