Leaving is a sad thought - Huckerby
Darren Huckerby has revealed he "would never have left" Norwich after being told he would not be getting a new contract at Carrow Road.
The forward was told by manager Glenn Roeder that he had no future at the Canaries on Tuesday and admitted he would always hold the club close to his heart.
Huckerby said: "I would have liked to have known a week ago so I could have said my goodbyes but that's just how football works.
"Not playing at Carrow Road again is a sad thought to be honest. But nobody can ever take those days away and I'll have those memories for the rest of my life.
"There were plenty of clubs that tried to sign me over the past few years but it didn't matter who they were as I would never have left this club. Norwich meant more to me than anything else and it still does."
