Derby defender Darren Moore has tipped youngster Miles Addison for a big future in the game after he made his Premier League debut against Blackburn.

With defenders Dean Leacock and Alan Stubbs out injured, Rams manager Paul Jewell partnered the 19-year-old academy graduate alongside the experienced Moore at the heart of his side's defence.

And Moore has backed the London-born centre-back to build on his debut with more first-team appearances in the near future.

"For me he is ready and he has been working extremely hard in training," Moore told the club's official website.

"The gaffer has given him his chance and he can hold his head high after playing against two very good strikers.

"For someone so young to make his Premier League debut should send him a signal that he has got the talent and the ability, and if he wants to he can make a real name for himself in the game."
