Ranson promises Coleman cash
Coventry chairman Ray Ranson admits boss Chris Coleman will have money to spend this summer but refuses to reveal how much.
The Sky Blues narrowly escaped relegation from the Championship on a dramatic final day of the season to finish just one place and one point above the drop zone.
But Ranson is keen to avoid a similar scenario next season by investing heavily in a summer of change at the Ricoh Arena.
"I don't know about millions and millions but we've certainly got some money to spend, but it's silly of us to advertise how much we've got because immediately the price goes up for players," the Coventry chief told the club's official website.
"Chris wouldn't be here if we didn't have ambition, but we've got that. We hope to be at the other end of the table next season and make his life a lot easier.
"It's no secret some of the players we'd like to bring here. Kasper (Schmeichel) has been on loan so it's no surprise we'd like to make that a permanent deal, but there are other targets. The hard work starts now."
