Barnsley manager Simon Davey wants to see more Tykes fans inside Oakwell next season.

Davey's side had one of the best home records in the Championship this season, but also one of the lowest average attendances at Oakwell.

Davey told the club's official website: "Our supporters have been terrific this season.

"They have backed us all the way this year and we have had one of the best home records in the division because of them.

"We now need the people of Barnsley to buy season tickets in their thousands and back us again. We want them to bring their kids, their kids' friends and everybody else down to Oakwell and pack this place out.

"We want Oakwell to be a full stadium next season, that is hostile for visiting teams. We want the people of Barnsley to get right behind this club and pack out this place for another campaign in the Championship."
